Hi, I’m Dan

I have been working in the health and fitness industry for over 20 years. I left school at the age of 16 to pursue a career in health and fitness, by the time I was 17 I was working for one of the U.K's leading health clubs, 'David Lloyd Leisure'. Over the 12 year period I was there I gained qualifications, knowledge and experience from training different clientele

I've taught various classes from advanced indoor cycling to circuit training and have had the pleasure of teaching classes for the England Cricket Team, West Bromwich Albion Football Club, Ex professional footballers as well as working with disabled athletes to help improve their strength for throwing or racing events

I left David Lloyd Leisure and began to work with people with traumatic brain injuries that resulted in them sustaining physical or mental rehabilitation needs, such as challenging behaviours

Here I worked alongside Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists where I helped to rebuild the clients strength and mobility. While working here I also became the Managing Violence and Aggression Instructor. I trained Doctors, Nurses and Rehabilitation Assistants on how to deescalate violent situations and how to perform break-away techniques if they were attacked

Over the last 11 years I have managed a gym where I work with a wide range of clientele, from those who want to lose a few pounds, increase muscle mass or improve their cardiovascular fitness to those with physical disabilities or medical needs. I also  work with professional athletes and fighters, one who is the current Lightweight World Champion in Bare Knuckle Boxing

I have a huge focus on helping people get fitter and healthier from all walks of life and ages. "I first met Dan when I needed his help and advice on how to increase my balance to prevent the increased number of falls I was having. The hospital was particularly concerned about building the muscles around my right knee which was in need of a knee replacement which the hospital was unable to offer because of my inability to weight bare on my left leg. Dan immediately starting telling me the best way to increase my muscle strength in my upper legs but particularly the muscles around my knee which has helped in maintaining my independence and well-being. 

Dan’s help has shown me that I can control what happens in my life, in terms of maintaining a level of mobility and independence despite not being able to receive a knee replacement; which I was so afraid of loosing when I first met Dan. He has continued to work with me and always encourages me to achieve my goals and aspirations.
