Hi, I’m Dan,

I’ve been working in the health and fitness industry for over 20 years. My passion has always been helping people improve their health, fitness, and overall wellbeing no matter their age, background, or ability.

My Journey

I left school at 16 to pursue my career in health and fitness, and by the age of 17 I was working for one of the UK’s leading health clubs, David Lloyd Leisure. Over the 12 years I spent there, I gained a wealth of qualifications, knowledge, and experience by working with a wide range of clients and teaching classes from advanced indoor cycling to high-energy circuit training.

During this time, I had the privilege of coaching some incredible athletes, including members of the England Cricket Team, West Bromwich Albion Football Club, ex-professional footballers, and disabled athletes training for throwing and racing events.

Expanding Into Rehabilitation

After leaving David Lloyd Leisure, I shifted my focus towards rehabilitation, working with clients who had sustained traumatic brain injuries. Many of these individuals required both physical and mental support, often dealing with complex rehabilitation needs and challenging behaviours.

Working closely with Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists, I helped rebuild my clients’ strength, mobility, and confidence. Alongside this, I became a Managing Violence and Aggression Instructor, where I trained healthcare professionals—including doctors, nurses, and rehabilitation assistants—on how to de-escalate violent situations and use safe breakaway techniques if attacked.

Today

For the past 11 years, I’ve been managing a gym, where I continue to work with a wide spectrum of clients. Whether it’s helping someone:

Lose a few pounds, Increase muscle mass, Improve cardiovascular fitness, Recover from an injury, Manage a medical condition, or Train for professional sport, I bring the same level of dedication, knowledge, and passion to every individual I work with.

My Philosophy

Fitness isn’t just about physical results, it’s about building confidence, Improving wellbeing, and creating sustainable habits. I pride myself on making training accessible to everyone, from complete beginners to professional athletes.

"I first met Dan when I needed his help and advice on how to increase my balance to prevent the increased number of falls I was having. The hospital was particularly concerned about building the muscles around my right knee which was in need of a knee replacement which the hospital was unable to offer because of my inability to weight bare on my left leg. Dan immediately starting telling me the best way to increase my muscle strength in my upper legs but particularly the muscles around my knee which has helped in maintaining my independence and well-being.
